Finding humour in the past, whether it wants us to or not
The Humorous History Company Secret Society is an organisation devoted to the appreciation of history, humour and the firm belief that almost any historical event can be improved by a mildly inappropriate joke.
Founded in 1066 (historians refute this claim), the Secret Society exists to celebrate the great figures of history, the absurd events they found themselves involved in and the fact that, despite humanity's best efforts, very little has changed over the centuries.
Meetings are in secret. So secret in fact that no one knows about them, so nobody turns up.
We do not wear ceremonial robes, have bizarre handshakes or strange initiation rituals; however, what you get up to in your own time is up to you; we don’t judge.
